Legendary Singer Aretha Franklin 'Queen of Soul' Dies at 76

Legendary singer  Aretha Franklin known as the Queen of Soul has passed away at the age of 76.

According to TMZ the Queen of Soul was fighting cancer and she died on Thursday August 16 at her house in Detroit.

She had an amazing career history. She won 18 Grammys and has sold over 75 million records worldwide. She had 17 top 10 singles, 20 number 1 R&B singles in her singing career. Her biggest hits include “Chain of Fools,” “Respect,” “A Natural Woman (You Make Me Feel Like),” and many other songs. Aretha was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 1987. She received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1994, and she was also a Kennedy Center Honoree in 1994.
